Affiliate Disclosure
Last updated: April 30, 2026
What a Find (whatafind.app) is a free service that aggregates publicly listed estate sales, online auctions, and yard sales across the United States. To keep the site free, we participate in affiliate programs that pay us a commission when readers click certain outbound links and make a purchase.
This page exists to be transparent about those relationships, in compliance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's Endorsement Guides (16 CFR Part 255).
What this means in plain English
- Some links on this site — including links to merchants in city pages, blog posts, and our newsletter — are affiliate links.
- If you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you.
- You pay the same price you would have paid going to the merchant directly.
- We never pay-to-play: estate sales, auctions, and listings shown on the map are surfaced based on what's publicly available, not based on any commercial relationship.
Affiliate programs we participate in
What a Find currently participates in or has applied to the following affiliate programs and networks:
- eBay Partner Network (EPN)
- Awin (publisher ID 2874499)
- impact.com
This list may change over time as we add or end relationships. We will keep this page reasonably current.
Editorial independence
Affiliate relationships do not influence which estate sales, auctions, or cities are featured on this site. Listings are pulled from public sources and ranked by date, location, and category. No merchant pays for placement on the map or in our city pages.
When we recommend tools, supplies, or marketplaces to resellers and collectors in our newsletter or blog, our criteria are: (1) we'd use the product ourselves, and (2) it serves our readers' actual needs. The presence or absence of an affiliate program doesn't change that.
Newsletter
Our weekly newsletter ("WhatAFind Weekly") may contain affiliate links and sponsored mentions. Sponsored content, when it appears, will always be clearly labeled as such.
Cookies & tracking
Affiliate networks may set cookies in your browser when you click an outbound link, allowing them to attribute a future purchase to our referral. We do not sell or share personal data. For more on what we collect, see our analytics provider (Google Analytics) and the privacy policies of the affiliate networks listed above.
